The 2022 NFL Draft is now behind us and those of us who are sick in the mind have already begun looking ahead to the 2023 draft, especially as it relates to our Detroit Lions.

In fact, the man who I happen to believe is the best of the best when it comes to evaluating draft prospects, Dane Brugler of The Athletic, just released his ‘Way-too-Early' 2023 Mock Draft and as you are about to see, he has the Lions just missing out on what I believe is solid gold.
With the No. 2 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, Brugler has the Lions selecting QB Bryce Young out of Alabama after QB C.J. Stroud out of Ohio State went No. 1 overall to the Houston Texans.
Note: Brugler said he used the current Super Bowl odds to come up with his draft order
From The Athletic:

2. Detroit Lions: Bryce Young, QB, Alabama
The defending Heisman Trophy winner, Young is undersized and might not check every box by NFL standards. But his poise and processing are both well above average and will transition well at the next level.
Then, with the No. 28 overall pick (via Rams), Brugler has the Lions rolling with DT Jaquelin Roy out of LSU.

28. Detroit Lions (from Rams): Jaquelin Roy, DT, LSU
Roy has yet to be a full-time starter for the Tigers, but he routinely flashed when on the field last season. Not only can he stand up blocks and stuff the run, but he shows disruptive qualities as a pass rusher as well.
Nation, we know it is way too early for some of you to be talking about the 2023 NFL Draft, but what would you think about the Lions landing Bryce Young with the No. 2 overall pick?
Where do you think the Lions will be selecting in the 2023 NFL Draft?
