Norris was originally selected by the Toronto Blue Jays in 2011, and would be dealt to Detroit in 2014 as part of the deal that sent David Price back to Toronto.
In 14 games during the 2020 season, Norris went 3–1 with a 3.25 ERA and 28 strikeouts in 27 2⁄3 innings.
