On Thursday morning, it became official that the Detroit Lions had traded Darius Slay to the Philadelphia Eagles.
It was no mystery that Slay was not happy with the Lions but now we know at least part of the reason why.
Slay joined WJR on Thursday evening and did not hold back about how he felt about Lions head coach, Matt Patricia.
Slay also said that Patricia told him he should not work out with guys like Richard Sherman or Aqib Talib because those guys are elite and Slay was just good!
Darius Slay unloads: Says his relationship w/ Matt Patricia was rough & he didn't respect Patricia as a person. Also said Patricia told him he wasn't a leader & that he had no business working out w/ Aqib Talib & Richard Sherman b/c those guys were elite & Slay was "just good."

If this is the truth, the Detroit Lions have a BIG problem.
