Darius Slay warns Phillip Rivers about “talking sideways” to him

Here we go again.

On Thursday, Detroit Lions cornerback Darius Slay was told that San Diego Chargers quarterback Phillip Rivers did not use profanity while talking trash. Slay’s response was, well, very Slay-like.

“As long as (Rivers) don’t talk sideways to me, we’ll be OK. …Try to come at me with that humbug stuff, and I got something for him.” Slay said.

Well then, I guess Rivers had better be careful about what he says to Slay on Sunday unless he wants to find out what’s in store for him.

The Lions cornerback has been extremely vocal this offseason, especially about his confidence in himself as a football player.

On Sunday, Slay will finally get to step on the field, and then it will be time to back up everything he has said.
