Heading into Week 15, the Detroit Lions had a VERY small chance to make the playoffs as they squared off against a much better Tennessee Titans team.
In order for the Lions to pull off the upset, they have to figure out a way to stop Derrick Henry and then take some chances on offense to keep pace.
Well, if what you are about to read is any indication, Lions interim head coach Darrell Bevell is not going to take any chances on Sunday.
With 12:49 remaining in the 2nd quarter, trailing 14-7, Bevell elected to punt on 4th & 6 from the Titans 43-yard line.
According to the Surrender Index, the put ranks in the 97th percentile of cowardly punts since 2009!
Take some chances, Bevell!!!
DET decided to punt to TEN from the TEN 43 on 4th & 6 with 12:49 remaining in the 2nd while losing 7 to 14.
With a Surrender Index of 22.31, this punt ranks at the 98th percentile of cowardly punts of the 2020 season, and the 97th percentile of all punts since 2009.

They should be put to g even on 4th and one from the opponents 20! The BEST thing this team can do now is tank and better their position in the draft
That’s the loser Mentality the Ford Family continuously gives the Detroit Lions Fans.
Please tell me WHY Ron Wood is President of the Lions.
Why is it that some dumb ass writer with nothing to lose is always smarter than some coach that has everything to lose????
Because the coach makes millions to screw up. Lol
From what i understood…correct me if im wrong…we pinned them then got a safety afterwards. Guess this writer knows best…oh well.
W G Brady writes useless opinions, while the other actually works in the NFL
