The Detroit Red Wings opened up their 2021-22 campaign on Thursday night when they hosted the Tampa Bay Lightning at Little Caesars Arena.
After blowing a pair of three-goal leads (4-1 and 6-3), the Red Wings ended up losing the game 7-6 in overtime.
But the loss is not what everybody is talking about from the game.
Instead, the discussion is about Red Wings captain Dylan Larkin being slammed headfirst into the boards by Mathieu Joseph of the Lightning.
Well, Darren McCarty has retweeted a tweet to highlight that the next time the Red Wings host the Lightning at Little Caesars Arena just so happens to be the 25th Anniversary date of “Fight Night” at Joe Louis Arena!
“#Karma??? Not sure but I’ll be there,” McCarty tweeted.
