It was ten years ago today that we were treated to one of the classic games in Detroit Red Wings playoff history – a total and complete destruction of the Phoenix Coyotes in Game 7 of the 2010 Western Conference Quarter Finals.
While the first period remained scoreless, forward Pavel Datsyuk scored two quick goals in the 2nd period to give Detroit the advantage they'd never relinquish. Two goals from Nicklas Lidstrom as well as tallies from Todd Bertuzzi and Brad Stuart would round out Detroit's scoring, while Jimmy Howard made 32 saves.
