It’s another chapter in the illustrious career of Detroit Tigers first baseman and 2012 Triple Crown Winner Miguel Cabrera, as he continues solidifying his Hall of Fame major league career. He can practically do whatever he wants and get away with it…..okay, maybe not that far, but he continues to be an unstoppable force for many opposing teams.
Cabrera has a career .320/.398/.564 slash line in his 13 major league seasons. It is hard to believe that a player of his caliber and extreme talent finished 5th in the 2003 Rookie of the Year voting. He has received at least one vote for the MVP award in each of his first 12 seasons, including the back-to-back MVP years in 2012 and 2013. How does he do it?
Seriously though, how does it get it done? There’s got to be things he prefers to be going on during a baseball game that makes him more comfortable and honed in. We decided to look at some of the splits on Miguel Cabrera to see what he likes the most. Does he like the sunshine, or is he a night owl? Does he like the traditional right-handers, or those crafty lefties? How big of a difference will there be?
