MORE DEALS? Should Pistons pull trigger on another blockbuster trade?

Monday marked the one-year anniversary of the Detroit Pistons acquiring Blake Griffin from the Los Angeles Clippers in exchange for Tobias Harris and Avery Bradley. What are the chances that they make another blockbuster trade?

According to TheRinger.com, the Pistons have reportedly spoken with the Memphis Grizzlies regarding center Marc Gasol. The Sacramento Kings are also reportedly interested.

Gasol is a three-time All-Star and the 2013 defensive player of the year. This year with the Grizzlies, he’s averaging 15.4 points and 8.7 rebounds, shooting 44 percent from the field and 36 percent from beyond the three-point line. He can become a free agent this offseason if he were to decline a $25.6 million player option.

In return, the Pistons would likely have to send maligned center Andre Drummond back the other way.

While this move is unlikely, should Detroit consider it?

Blake Griffin: No issues with Reggie Jackson

You’d definitely have to excuse Pistons star Blake Griffin at being frustrated.

It was evident in his post-game interview following a victory over the New Orleans Pelicans in which he described his team’s lack of focus and inability to finish games. Right then, guard Reggie Jackson decided to photobomb the interview, not knowing the serious tone of Griffin’s comments and was subsequently roasted on social media and even in the national media.

But Griffin insists there isn’t a problem between the two of them, and that he made a point to talk to Jackson later on.

“I really don’t pay attention to Twitter like that or ESPN that much,” “Griffin said. “People see the comments, but 90 percent of it will be B.S. so I don’t pay attention to what most people say. I’m probably the worst person on our team when it comes to social media.”

Jackson brushed off any controversy, saying he hadn’t checked what anyone had said about his poorly timed photobomb.
