A Decade in the D: Best Moments From Justin Verlander

Must see JV. That’s what every Detroit Tigers fan has come to expect every time Tigers starting pitcher Justin Verlander takes the mound for a start. Can you believe that this upcoming 2015 season will be Verlander’s 10th season donning the old English D? Yeah, me neither. I still remember clear as day when he first came up in 2005 for September call-ups, made a couple starts and marked his official rookie status in 2006. Justin has done many outstanding things in his time with the Tigers; the accolades are endless. He made an impact right away his first season, that magical 2006 season. A 17-9 record, an ERA of 3.63 and topping it off with an AL Rookie of the Year award. That was just the very beginning of what would be and still is an incredible career thus far for Mr. Verlander. So, as we look forward to the upcoming 2015 season for the Tigers, we here at DSN look back at the greatest moments in Justin Verlander’s time in Detroit.
