He's been scratched the past six games after struggling early on this season. He missed most of the 2019-20 campaign after back surgery.
DeKeyser attended Western Michigan University, where he played collegiate hockey before being signed as a free agent by the Red Wings in 2013. He's appeared in 441 career games, all with Detroit.
