But on Thursday, Peterson was not able to practice due to what was listed on the injury report as a non-COVID-19 related illness.
Now, some details are emerging as to why Peterson was forced to miss practice and according to Tom Pelissero, there was concern that the Lions RB had an appendix issue.
Pelissero added that Peterson had blood work and an MRI after side pain caused him to miss Thursday's practice and thankfully those tests came back negative and the future Hall of Famer is expected to get a normal workload in on Sunday against the Jaguars.
#Lions RB Adrian Peterson had blood work and an MRI after side pain caused him to miss practice Thursday, per source. There was concern it was his appendix. But tests were negative, and he’s expected to get his normal workload in that crowded backfield today vs. the #Jaguars.
