Detroit Lions WR Kenny Golladay wants to get paid in a big way and he 100% deserves to be paid in a big way.

Though thas was something that could have been assumed, Golladay made that pretty clear with a recent Instagram post which was almost certainly intended for Lions' GM Bob Quinn (though he did not use his name)
“This shit gone cost you!” Golladay wrote. “Don’t let that go over y’all head…” Golladay posted.
Kenny Golladay takes to Instagram, has stern message for Lions GM Bob Quinn
Golladay, of course, is talking about the contract extension he believed would be in place by now. During the offseason, Golladay told the media he was confident he and the Lions would get a deal done prior to the start of the 2020 season. But that has not happened and Golladay is clearly not thrilled about that.
On Saturday, Detroit Free Press writer Carlos Monarrez (most of you probably will stop reading now) released an article in which he calls out Golladay, suggesting he “isn’t doing himself any favors by posting this garbage on social media.”
From Detroit Free Press:
“But Golladay isn’t doing himself any favors by posting this garbage on social media, and here's why: No matter who you are — emerging NFL superstar or assistant bedpan cleaner — you have to understand who your boss is.
In Golladay’s case, that’s Lions head coach Matt Patricia. And Patricia is all about the team. Not individual players. Team.
If there’s one theme that runs through the way Patricia has constructed the Lions, it’s the idea the team is above all else. It’s about putting the team first, second and last.
This is why you don’t see a lot of divas on the Lions. It’s why Golden Tate, Quandre Diggs and Darius Slay aren’t here anymore. It’s why Trey Flowers, Adrian Peterson and Frank Ragnow are.”

Monarrez went on to suggest that Golladay should look closely at how Lions' RB Adrian Peterson handles his business and puts the team first.
“Golladay might consider taking a different tack. Perhaps one similar to Peterson’s. While Golladay celebrated the Lions’ win with boastful bluster, Peterson celebrated with an Instagram video of his 1-yard touchdown run that featured great blocking by his fullback and the offensive line with the caption: “One Heart, One Team, One Goal, Great win!!!”
It’s probably not a coincidence Peterson, who is on his fifth team at age 35, keeps getting job after job.
Golladay could learn a valuable lesson from Peterson, and maybe even this column. Because I’m sure he doesn’t want his coach or team owner to read more boorish Instagram posts and think to themselves: “This stuff gone cost you!”
Nation, do you agree with Monarrez? Or, do you think Golladay should keep on doing what he is doing and venting if he wants to vent?
