Detroit Lions 2016 first-quarter position grades

It is hard to believe, but the NFL regular season is already a quarter of the way done. After four games, you have a decent sample size of who your team truly is and can gauge the trajectory of success. The Detroit Lions are 1-3 and sit dead last in the NFC North. Based off an ugly loss last week to the Chicago Bears, many would project the Lions as one of the worst teams in the entire league. Not exactly the start that many success-starved Lions fans hoped for.

Football is a team sport and there isn’t just one roster deficiency that is responsible for the dismal start. Here are the grades for each position group so far:
