On Friday, the NFL announced they were awarding 32 compensatory draft picks to be divided amongst 16 teams. As expected, the Detroit Lions were not among the teams given an extra pick.
With the compensatory picks being set, we now know the exact spots the Lions will be drafting at in the 2017 NFL Draft. Here is a list of which draft picks the Lions will have when the draft begins.

- Round 2, Pick 21 (53 overall)
- Round 3, Pick 21 (85 overall)
- Round 4, Pick 21 (128 overall)
- Round 5, Pick 21 (165 overall)
- Round 6, Pick 21 (205 overall)
- Round 6, Pick 32 (215 overall) — Via New England Patriots in the Kyle Van Noy trade
- Round 7, Pick 32 (250 overall) — Via Patriots in the Michael Williams trade
The 1st Round of the draft will be held on April 27th beginning at 8 p.m. ET, with Rounds 2-3 taking place on April 28th beginning at 7 p.m. ET, and Rounds 4-7 rounding things out on April 29th beginning at Noon ET.
ESPN, ESPN2 and NFL Network will all provide coverage of the draft. Online streaming will also be available on NFL.com.
