Heading into the 2019 season, some Detroit Lions fans had hope that their team would rise up contend for an NFC North crown, while others figured they would hover around .500 when all was said and done.
But not many predicted the Lions to go 3-12-1 with enough injuries to fill up a wing of a hospital.
Well, that's exactly what happened as the Lions 2019 regular season officially came to a close with a 23-20 loss to the Green Bay Packers.
Following the loss, I was browsing Twitter and I came across a tweet that blew my mind for a moment until I realized it was actually the truth.
It just so happens to be a stat that sums up the Lions 2019 campaign just perfectly.
That's right, folks! The Detroit Lions did not trail the Green Bay Packers for 120 out of a possible 120 minutes in 2019 and yet they finished 0-2 against the NFC North Champions.
Yep, that's how the season went.
On to 2020!
