Detroit Lions: 5 Teams to root for in Week 14 to improve draft slot

On Saturday, we released our weekly Detroit Lions Rooting Guide in terms of getting the Lions to the NFL Playoffs. That has been our focus ever since the Lions began winning, and it will continue until they clinch a playoff spot (only positive thoughts are allowed!). That being said, some of you have asked for us to put out a weekly Rooting Guide in terms of which teams Lions fans should root for to get a higher draft pick. So, here you go!

5 Teams Detroit Lions fans should root for in Week 14 to improve their draft slot

The Lions currently hold the No. 4 overall pick (Via Rams) and the No. 15 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, but for this exercise, we are only focusing on how the Lions can improve the pick they have via the Rams, since there is no way we are going to tell you to root for the Lions to lose today against the Vikings! If that is what you want, they you are not a fan anyways!

Here are the 5 teams Detroit Lions fans should root for in Week 14 to improve their draft slot:

Jacksonville Jaguars (4-8) over Tennessee Titans (7-5) – 1:00 p.m. CBS

Houston Texans (1-10-1) over Dallas Cowboys (9-2) – 1:00 p.m. FOX

Denver Broncos (3-9) over Kansas City Chiefs (9-3) – 4:05 p.m. CBS

Carolina Panthers (4-8) over Seattle Seahawks (7-5) – 4:25 p.m. FOX

Arizona Cardinals (4-8) over New England Patriots (6-6) – MNF 8:25 ESPN

Unfortunately, all five of those teams are underdogs this week, including the Texans being a 17.5 dog to the Cowboys!
