Detroit Lions Anquan Boldin not interested in retirement just yet

Detroit Lions veteran wideout Anquan Boldin doesn’t envision himself hanging up the laces just yet. When asked if he planned on returning for a 15th NFL season, Boldin sounded like he was itching to return.

“I haven’t sat down with my family yet, but there’s still a passion that runs in me for football,” Boldin said.

The Lions’ season ended in Seattle on Sunday night with Boldin contributing two catches for 24 yards and two 15-yard penalties that he said he disagreed with after the loss. The veteran had a strong first season with the Lions. He amassed 67 catches for 584 yards and a team-leading eight touchdowns while playing in all 16 regular season games.

In 202 career games spent with the Arizona Cardinals, Baltimore Ravens, and San Francisco 49ers, Boldin has 1,076 recaptions for 13,779 yards and 82 touchdowns.
