The injury bug continues to bite the Detroit Lions’ secondary.
Early in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s matchup against the Cleveland Browns, cornerback D.J. Reed went down while defending a pass intended for wide receiver Jerry Jeudy. Thankfully for Detroit, Jeudy dropped what would have been a first down. Unfortunately, the bigger loss may be on the Lions’ sideline.
Reed immediately grabbed at his leg, appearing to hold his hamstring, and remained on the turf before being attended to by trainers. After a few moments, he was carted off the field and taken to the locker room for further evaluation.
With Terrion Arnold already sidelined due to an arm injury earlier in the game, losing Reed would be another significant blow for a Lions defense already stretched thin at cornerback.
