As you likely know by now, even though he has yet to take the field for the Detroit Lions, rookie CB Jeff Okudah will be wearing No. 30 to begin his NFL career.

But on Thursday, Okudah revealed that No. 30 was not his first choice.
While speaking to reporters, Okudah said he was about to tell the Lions he wanted No. 28 but then future Hall of Fame RB Adrian Peterson was signed so he went with No. 30.
“It was just the last one left. I thought about getting 28 but then when I was about to tell them, we signed Adrian. I don’t have any argument about that. He’s a Hall of Famer.”

This weekend will be the first NFL game of his life as he told reporters he watched last week’s game against the Bears at home with his parents.
