On Thursday, the Detroit Lions will host the Chicago Bears in their annual Thanksgiving Day game at Ford Field.

As it stands, the Lions are 4-6 and on the outside looking in as far as the NFC Playoff picture goes following theirĀ 20-19 win over the Carolina Panthers this past Sunday. The Bears, on the other hand, are 7-3 and sit in first place in the NFC North following a big victory over the Minnesota Vikings.
You donāt have to have a great memory to recall the last time the Lions played the Bears as they just met on Nov. 11 at Soldier Field in Chicago. On that day, Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky completed 23 of 30 passes for 355 yards and three touchdowns as Chicago cruised to a 34-22 win over the Lions.
But, according to reports, there is a chance that Trubisky will not be able to play on Thanksgiving as he banged up his shoulder on Sunday against the Vikings.
Though the Bears did not practice on Monday, they are required to release a practice report which indicates which players would not of practiced had there actually been a practice. (Thatās a lot of practice for one sentence!)
Anyways, included on that list was Mitchell Trubisky who was listed as (No practice ā Right shoulder).
This would obviously be a pretty big break for the Lions as the Bears backup quarterback is Chase Daniel who has attempted just three passes since the 2014 season.
