The Detroit Lions were able to convert on a 4th-and-short to keep their opening drive live, and they were certainly added by two Jacksonville penalties. A handoff to legendary RB Adrian Peterson capped off the 10-play drive, giving Detroit the early lead.

Dan Orlovsky has message for fans of teams wanting to tank

Former Detroit Lions quarterback Dan Orlovsky, now an analyst with ESPN, had an interesting message for teams who have Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence on their radar – winning a game isn't worth missing out on the chance to potentially be able to draft him.
Lawrence is the early favorite to become the first overall pick in the 2021 NFL draft next year in Cleveland, and could prove to be a franchise altering selection for whomever lands the first overall selection.
