The Detroit Lions were set to have rookies and quarterbacks report to training camp this week, but instead have taken a different course of action.
Per Dave Birkett, the team has decided to delay reporting dates by a week for rookies.
The roster is tentatively scheduled to report to camp July 28.
Several safety protocols will be in place when teams report, including daily testing for COVID-19. Players will be required to have tested negative twice within 72 hours before being permitted to enter team facilities, with the initial two weeks of camp being used for re-acclamation; full practices aren’t expected until next month.
