As the Detroit Lions gear up for their Week 15 matchup against the Buffalo Bills, there’s a lingering question mark around the status of defensive tackle DJ Reader.
Reader, who was limited in his practice on Wednesday, worked off to the side with trainers to manage his injury. On Thursday, he graduated to limited participation, but his official status for Sunday’s game remains uncertain. However, Reader was confident in his ability to play when speaking with Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press.
“Another good team, another worthy opponent,” Reader said when discussing the upcoming game. “We got to go out there and take care of business. I think they've been good the last couple of years, got some really, really good players and kudos to them losing some guys, just kind still turning over the offense, doing what they do. So we just got to go out there and take care of them.”
When asked about his availability for Sunday, Reader gave a direct answer, reinforcing his commitment to being on the field. “I’ll be out there thugging,” he said. “I’ll be out there Sunday thugging, so I’m good.”
With the Lions preparing for a crucial game against the Bills, Reader’s presence on the field would be vital to the defense’s success. Fans will be watching closely as the final Week 15 injury report is released later today. Stay tuned for more updates as the game approaches!
