The Detroit Lions entered Soldier Field this afternoon looking to erase the memory of last week’s heartbreaking loss to the Baltimore Ravens. But instead, they provided their fans with more maddening red-zone inefficiency, early deficits, and a late comeback attempt that would fall short.
The Chicago Bears earned a 24-14 win over the Lions, improving to 2-2 in 2021 while the Lions dropped to 0-4. Lions fans were quick to vent their frustrations on social media afterwards:
Time for Kneecap Campbell to be fired it baffles me how he’s still a coach losing to the worst offensive team. People love to defend that coach but the guys 0-4 0-3 in preseason and is on the verge for an 0-17 season just watch

I've been optimistic and supportive but after how horrible the decision making was in this game… The coaches are horrible and #FudgeDanCampbell way too aggressive. Let's play to win and get points not play to stay behind and wait to make big plays down the field 🤦🖕🤦😵⚰️⚰️⚰️

I've been watching the same Lions game for over 50 years now. Different players, different coaches, same results.

Part of me thinks we are cursed beyond belief, the other half is questioning the state of this new coaching staff, especially due to that call late on 4th and short. Have to run or kick a FG there.
