Detroit Lions final 53-man roster prediction

DEFENSIVE BACKS (11):

  • IN: Darius Slay, Nevin Lawson, Quandre Diggs, Alex Carter, Darrin Walls, Johnson Bademosi, Glover Quin, Rafael Bush, Miles Killebrew, Don Carey, Tavon Wilson, Ian Wells (IR)
  • OUT: Isaiah Johnson, Adairius Barnes, Charles Washington

OUTLOOK: It seems like every year the Lions always end up with a bunch of corners they had to pick up off the street. Keeping eleven defensive backs is a little much, but warranted in today’s pass-happy league. Miles Killebrew can play the hybrid money backer in passing situations, Don Carey and Johnson Bademosi are special teams aces that make up for the lack of linebacker depth. Alex Carter shouldn’t make the team off of his recent performances but will be given the benefit of the doubt as corner is not an easy position to learn.
