Detroit Lions hire new coach in advance of Week 7 matchup vs. Falcons

According to a report from Justin Rogers, the Detroit Lions have hired a new assistant coach.

Rogers is reporting the Lions have added Tanner Engstrand to their offensive staff. As noted, Engstrand played QB and coached at San Diego State before working on Jim Harbaugh‘s staff at Michigan. His most recent stop was as an offensive coordinator in the XFL.
