Whether or not they decide to go with offense or defense with the pivotal selection remains to be seen, though there is a bevy of talent slated to be available on both sides of the ball when it’s their turn to take the podium.

Lions beat writer Tim Twentyman put together a list of five players that the Lions may have on their radar, including one popular wide receiver from the Michigan Wolverines: Donovan Peoples-Jones.

Check out his reasoning:

“Wide receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones had the kind of week in Indy that makes teams go back to the tape to try and find out why the physical traits didn’t lead to more production for the Wolverines. Peoples-Jones recorded a 44.5-inch vertical at the Combine, a half inch off the all-time record. He also had an impressive 11-foot-7 broad jump and ran a 4.48-second 40-yard dash at 6-foot-2 and 212 pounds.

He never had more than 47 receptions, 612 yards or eight touchdowns in a single season at Michigan. A good on-field workout at his pro day to match those combine numbers will go a long way to improving Peoples-Jones’ stock among a stacked class of receivers.”

Peoples-Jones’ pro-day will be on March 13. Last season with Michigan, he amassed 34 receptions for 438 yards and six touchdowns.

Twentyman also included Oregon quarterback Justin Herbert, Wisconsin linebacker Zack Baun, Oklahoma quarterback Jalen Hurts, and Clemson wide receiver Tee Higgins on his list.
