Detroit Lions land absolute stud after trading down in recent 2021 NFL Mock Draft

Detroit Lions

When it comes to the 2021 NFL Draft, I have made it very clear that the best move for the Detroit Lions is to trade down to acquire more draft capital.

One person who seems to agree with that thought is former Detroit Sports Nation writer Logan Lamorandier, who now writes for Sports Illustrated.

In Lamorandier’s Mock Draft 3.0, he has the Lions trading the No. 7 overall pick to the Los Angeles Chargers for the No. 13 overall pick, the No. 47 overall pick, and a 2022 fourth-round pick.

As you can see below, Logan has the Lions selecting LB Micah Parsons at No. 13 and WR Elijah Moore with the No. 47 overall pick. Parsons, in my opinion, is easily the top-ranked defensive player in the 2021 NFL Draft, and that Lions need a linebacker in the worst way. That being said, he does have some off-the-field issues that could go against the culture that GM Brad Holmes and head coach Dan Campbell are trying to build in the Lions’ organization.

Here is Lamorandier’s full Detroit Lions Mock Draft 3.0.

13 – Micah Parsons, LB, Penn State

41 – Teven Jenkins, OT, Oklahoma State

47 – Elijah Moore, WR, Mississippi

72 – Jevon Holland, S, Oregon

101 – Milton Williams, DT, Louisiana Tech

112 – Robert Rochell, CB, Central Arkansas

153 – Derrick Barnes, LB, Purdue

Nation, what grade do you give this mock draft? Personally, I give it an A-.
