Later this afternoon, the Detroit Lions will be on the road for the first time this season when they take on the Minnesota Vikings in a battle for first place in the NFC North.
Picking up a win in Minnesota will not be an easy task as the Lions have not won a game there since 2017 when Jim Caldwell was the head coach in Detroit. (The Lions won that game 14-7)

But Minnesota is not the only place away from home that the Detroit Lions have trouble winning as they have now lost 10 consecutive games on the road, including all nine road games in 2021.
Earlier in the week, Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell talked about picking up a big win in Minnesota.
โThis is something that we have a lot of urgency about,โ Campbell said. โThis is big. We need to try and set the tempo for ourselves, and it starts on the road, divisional game. Of course itโs not going to be easy. Itโs going to be hostile. It shouldnโt be easy. And those guys are going to be ready to go. Theyโre going to get back to what they do best, and we know that, but man, it goes back to weโve got to be able handle this pressure on the road.
