Detroit Lions lose CB Ian Wells to knee injury, sign CB Rashaad Reynolds

Allen Park, Mich. – The Detroit Lions announced today that they have signed free agent CB Rashaad Reynolds and waived-injured CB Ian Wells. Contract terms were not disclosed.

Ian Wells, a rookie out of Ohio, was waived-injured after suffering a right knee injury a few minutes into Tuesday’s practice. He suffered the injury during one-on-one drills and required the assistance of trainers to get off the field.

Reynolds comes to Detroit after spending two seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars (2014-15), where he spent the majority of last season as a member of the team’s practice squad.

An undrafted rookie free agent with the Jaguars in 2014, Reynolds spent his rookie season on Reserve/Injured. He played his college football at Oregon State, where he was a four-year letterman (2010-13) for the Beavers.
