Detroit Lions make decision on Jared Goff for 2023 and beyond

According to a report from Ian Rapoport, the Detroit Lions have already decided on the future of Jared Goff.

When the Detroit Lions traded Matthew Stafford to the Los Angeles Rams for a trio of draft picks and quarterback Jared Goff, just about everybody believed that Goff was only going to be a bridge quarterback until the Lions could find their starter of the future. After getting off to a rough start with the Lions, Goff has gotten better and better, raising conversations about whether or not he could be the Lions' quarterback of the future. Now, according to a report from Ian Rapoport, the Lions have already decided their intentions for Goff.

What will the Detroit Lions do with Jared Goff?

According to a report from Ian Rapoport, the Lions do not look at Goff as a bridge quarterback, and they plan to move forward with him as their starter.

From NFL.com:

Most of the NFL world considers Jared Goff to be a bridge for the Lions, a starter to help them get to the real franchise starting QB at some point in the future. That is, everyone except the Lions.

As sources have explained, Goff is believed to be their starting QB. Period. Not just until someone else comes along. With all due respect to the unknown — weird things happen in the NFL — the plan is for Goff to be in Detroit for the future.

Nation, if this report is true, do you agree that Goff should be the Lions' quarterback of the future?
