Berry is a former Lorain and Ohio State standout and was first signed by the New England Patriots as an undrafted free agent following the 2020 NFL Draft. He was later signed by the Lions after spending his rookie year with the Pats. While appearing in three games in 2021, he recorded one solo tackle.
Meanwhile, McCollum suited up in 13 games for Detroit while starting one in 2021. He played collegiately at Texas A&M and later played for the Houston Texans.
Yesterday, the Lions tendered contracts to 13 of their exclusive rights free agents.
