Detroit Lions Move On From Defensive Assistant

According to reports, the Detroit Lions are moving on from one of their assistant coaches.

According to a report from Aaron Wilson of KPRC, the Detroit Lions have decided to part ways with assistant defensive line coach Cameron Davis. Davis, who joined the Lions in 2022, has just completed his third season with the team in 2024.

Before his time with Detroit, Davis made his mark at Lamar University, where he served as the defensive line coach. His coaching career also included roles as an assistant defensive line coach at Diablo Valley College, as well as graduate assistant positions at Texas A&M and Kentucky.

Davis’ tenure with the Lions has come to an end as the team looks to make adjustments to its coaching staff. The Lions are now set to seek new leadership for their defensive line moving forward, following a season that saw the team make strides but fall short in the playoffs.

As of now, it remains unclear who will replace Davis, but the Lions will undoubtedly look to find someone who can further develop the team’s defensive front and help bolster its pass rush.
