After several days of visits and pondering, prized offensive guard T.J. Lang has decided to bring his services home to the Detroit Lions. Lang considered other offers from the Seattle Seahawks and his former team the Green Bay Packers.

UPDATE:

The hometown guard is an immediate upgrade at his position, but he is coming off of hip surgery this past January. The injury sparked during the Packers playoff run, but he should be healthy by the start of the season.

The Lions have made it a priority to upgrade their offensive line, and Lang solidifies the right side instantly. Pairing Lang with newly acquired tackle Ricky Wagner makes Detroit a real threat in the NFC.
