DE Ziggy Ansah participant in open portion of practice. First time since going out early in Game 2.

For the first time since going out in Game 2 with a high ankle sprain, Ziggy Ansah has returned to the practice field. While this provides a much-needed boost to the Lions D, the potential loss of DT Haloti Ngata (shoulder) for the next few weeks keeps our positive outlook in check.

On the offensive side of the ball, WR Anquan Boldin, TE Eric Ebron, RB Theo Riddick, G Laken Tomlinson and RB Dwayne Washington did not participate in practice today.

With Riddick and Washington out, the job falls to Dr. Z, Zach Zenner (started the season inactive) and Justin Forsett (who just signed with the team Tuesday). If I were a betting man, and I am most certainly not – especially with this team, I would say this weekend is going to look a little brutal on the offensive side of the field.
The following players have been listed on the Detroit Lions’ Practice Report today: WR Anquan Boldin (ankle), TE Eric Ebron (ankle/knee), LB DeAndre Levy (knee/quad), DT Haloti Ngata (shoulder), RB Theo Riddick (ankle), G Laken Tomlinson (neck) and RB Dwayne Washington (ankle) did not participate in practice. DE Ezekiel Ansah (ankle), S Don Carey (ribs), DT A’Shawn Robinson (shoulder) and G Larry Warford (hip) were limited in practice.
