Another Lion is headed to the Pro Bowl.
As we reported this week, Stafford was just waiting for the results of this weekend to learn whether he would be headed to the Pro Bowl, and it seems that his time has finally come. With Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning dropping out of the Pro Bowl due to injury, Matthew Stafford will be taking his place on the roster.
Matthew Stafford becomes the Lions’ first Pro Bowl quarterback since Greg Landry in 1971 to make the trip to Hawaii. This brings the total to 5 Lions selected to the Pro Bowl this year.
That makes 5 #Lions selected to Pro Bowl. DT Ndamukong Suh, S Glover Quin, WR Calvin Johnson, WR Golden Tate and QB Matthew Stafford.
