The Detroit Lions have signed former University of Michigan quarterback Jake Rudock to the active 53-man roster, according to multiple reports and confirmed by the team on Twitter.

The move prevents the Bears from signing him and suggests the Lions have plans for him this season.
The team also released the injury report prior to Thursday’s Thanksgiving Day game against division foe Minnesota.
