ESPN Report: Lions WR Calvin Johnson is planning on retiring from the NFL


And there it is. The news Lions fans have been dreading since the end of the regular season. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Detroit Lions WR Calvin Johnson told head coach Jim Caldwell on the day after the regular season ended, that the 2015 season would be his last in the NFL. Schefter’s report also states that he told QB Matthew Stafford and LB Stephen Tulloch he was retiring after 2015. This report has not been confirmed by the team nor Johnson’s representatives.
