The Detroit Lions were busy this week, trading away popular safety Quandre Diggs and subsequently signing Marcus Gilchrist. Last season, Gilchrist started all 16 games and amassed 56 tackles (38 solo) to led the team’s secondary.
However, their transactions may not be finished. The team worked out four more defensive backs on Friday:
-Safety Micah Hannemann
-Safety A.J. Howard
-Safety Derrick Kindred
-CB Captain Munnerlyn
Hahnemann currently plays for the Tampa Bay Vipers of the XFL, and played college ball at Brigham Young. Howard played at Appalachian State and has spent time on the practice squad for several NFL teams, including New England. Kindred played college ball at Texas Christian University, and was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in 2016. Munnerlyn played college ball at South Carolina, and was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in 2009.
