Former Detroit Lions WR Travis Fulgham had himself quite the afternoon for the Philadelphia Eagles, hauling in ten catches for 152 yards.

Originally a 6th round selection of the Detroit Lions, Fulgham had a brief stint with the Green Bay Packers before landing with the Eagles, where he’s enjoying a productive year.

Lions offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell spoke to media members this afternoon, and admitted that he was taken by surprise at his performance this season.

“A little bit surprised,” Bevell said on Monday of Fulgham’s performance. “I think it’s the third team he’s been on. Travis did okay while he was here. I don’t want to get into all the reasons behind what happened (here), but I’m happy for his success, for sure.”

As far as wide receivers coach Robert Prince is concerned, they’ve moved on.

“The thing with Travis is that he did have a large catching radius,” Lions wide receiver coach Robert Prince said this week. “That was one of the things that we liked about him. Obviously, there’s something that Philly liked about him, so we’ll move on.”

The Lions were inactive this weekend thanks to their scheduled bye week, and are now preparing for Sunday’s matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Patricia met virtually with media members this afternoon to discuss a variety of topics, including what his team has been working on, and how to avoid the mistakes that have plagued them through the first four games of the season.

“For us, it’s a great opportunity to go back and review those mistakes, and what we need to improve on,” he explained. “Those are situations you have to go through and explain and teach at a high level, so they can have an opportunity for when it does come up again, how to handle it.”
