Detroit Lions offer GM job to Pittsburgh Steelers GM Kevin Colbert

If you have been following along with the many reports on the Detroit Lions search for a new general manager, you have probably read that the Lions and Pittsburgh Steelers GM Kevin Colbert have at least some level of mutual interest.

That being said, according to Mike Stone of the “Stoney & Jansen with Heather” show, a source of his had indicated that the Lions have already offered the job to Colbert and that it is pretty close to happening.

“I just got off the phone with a trusted source who has told me that the Lions have made an offer to Kevin Colbert, and it’s pretty close to happening,” Stone said. “We’ll just go with that. I’m not going to say it’s done or anything like that. Someone I know pretty well, somewhat connected, said that they’ve offered the job to Kevin Colbert, and unless with the Rooneys come up with some kind of crazy counteroffer, he might be coming back.”

Stay tuned, Nation! This could be huge!
