When the Detroit Lions hired Matt Patricia to be their head coach, the thought was that he would come in and turn the Lions’ defense into one of the best units in the league.
Unfortunately, that was far from the case and Patricia ended up getting fired before the 2020 season ended.
Now, the Lions have a new leader in town and his name is Dan Campbell.
When Campbell was hired, he made it clear that he was going to do his best to put together the best coaching staff that he could to lead the Lions into the future.
One of the coaches Campbell hired is outside linebacker coach Kelvin Sheppard.
Following Tuesday’s practice, Sheppard spoke to the media and he made it clear that the Lions defense was not going to let opposing offenses dictate how the game would go.
“We’re not allowing people to dictate to us,” Sheppard said. “We run a dictatorship over here.”
This is one of the only times I am ok with a dictatorship!
