The Detroit Lions were back on the practice field Wednesday, but two notable names were missing: left tackle Taylor Decker and linebacker Jack Campbell.
According to Justin Rogers of the Detroit Football Network, neither player was spotted during the portion of practice open to the media. Their absences raise questions as the Lions prepare for a critical Week 2 divisional showdown against the Chicago Bears at Ford Field.
There was some positive news, however. Sione Vaki and Trevor Nowaske were both back on the field, and cornerback Terrion Arnold, who left the Packers game with a groin injury, was also present.
The Lions are already dealing with depth issues across the roster, particularly on the offensive line and at linebacker. Missing both Decker, the team’s most experienced lineman, and Campbell, who led Detroit in tackles in 2024, would present major challenges against a Chicago team eager to bounce back from its Week 1 loss.
