Detroit Lions QB David Blough: Lions more structured than the Browns

Detroit Lions backup QB David Blough had originally signed with the Cleveland Browns following the 2019 NFL Draft before being traded to Detroit for draft picks.

He was listed as the third stringer behind Matthew Stafford and Jeff Driskel, but injuries to both have forced Blough into the starting role beginning on Thanksgiving.

And let’s just say that it sounds like he’s not a fan – of Cleveland, that is.

Blough was quoted as saying that the Lions are more structured than the Browns in every aspect, which certainly doesn’t shine Cleveland head coach Freddie Kitchens in a positive light.

“There’s more structure here in Detroit,” Blough was quoted as saying.

In what way?

“Everywhere. The meeting rooms, the coordinators, the head coach,” he continued.

Of course, the Browns were viewed by many as championship contenders with quarterback Baker Mayfield under center paired up with Odell Beckham Jr. Their season got off to a slow start and never fully recovered. At 6-9, they’re well outside a playoff spot.
