Anyone who has paid attention to Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford both on and off the field knows what a classy individual he is.
Because of that, it should be no surprise at all that Stafford is one of eight finalists for the 2019 Art Rooney Sportsmanship Award.
Stafford joins Calais Campbell (Jaguars), Thomas Davis Sr. (Chargers), T.Y. Hilton (Colts), Adrian Peterson (Redskins), Matthew Slater (Patriots), Joe Staley (49ers), and Eric Weddle (Rams) as the nominees.
The winner will be revealed at NFL Honors before Super Bowl LIV.
