Detroit Lions release initial depth chart includes some surprises

The Detroit Lions have released their initial depth chart for the 2020 season and as you can see below, there are a couple of surprises.

The biggest surprise is that Justin Coleman is penciled in as a starting CB opposite Desmond Trufant, rather than Amani Oruwariye, who has been rumored to be getting the start. Rookie CB Jeff Okudah is currently listed as a No. 2 behind Coleman.

It is also interesting to see that LB Jarrad Davis is still listed ahead of Jahlani Tavai on the depth chart.

As far as the offensive side of the ball goes, Kerryon Johnson is listed as the starting RB, while Adrian Peterson is the No. 2 and rookie D'Andre Swift is the No. 4, behind Ty Johnson.

Keep in mind that these depth charts rarely hold much water so do not be surprised to see it change quickly.
