Within the past hour or so, Eric Woodyard of ESPN broke the news that former Detroit Lions LB Jessie Lemonier has passed away at the age of 25. Lemonier originally signed with the Los Angeles Chargers as an undrafted rookie free agent following the conclusion of the 2020 NFL Draft, before eventually being signed by Detroit. Just moments ago, the Lions released a statement regarding the death of Lemonier.

Just moments ago, the Lions took to Twitter to release a statement on the death of Lemonier.
“We are shocked and saddened to learn of the passing of former Detroit Lion Jessie Lemonier,” the Lions tweeted. “Jessie was a model teammate and a wonderful man who is gone far too soon. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends during this difficult time.”
