Earlier today, a report surfaced from Adam Schefter of ESPN explaining how NFL officiating is under scrutiny after missing multiple important calls during last Sunday’s game between the Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams. Partially because of some of those calls, DeShon Elliott and the Detroit Lions were eliminated from playoff contention before they even got to play on Sunday Night Football against the Green Bay Packers.
What did Detroit Lions S DeShon Elliott say about NFL officiating?
In the report, Schefter said that a source called the game between the Seahawks and Rams the “worst officiated game of the year.”
Schefter also said that multiple sources told ESPN that the Lions were “bothered” by the officiating that helped the Seahawks beat the Rams.
Well, Elliott has caught wind of Schefter’s report, and he decided to chime in.
“Ahhhh somebody throwing them games huh lol,” Elliott tweeted.
Now, I would not take this as DeShon Elliott really accusing NFL officials of “throwing” a game, but it sure does seem like the Lions are not thrilled that the officiating played a big role in them missing the playoffs.
Nation, do you think officiating was the main reason why the Lions are not in the 2022 NFL Playoffs?
