Following their heartbreaking 28-25 loss to the Buffalo Bills on Thanksgiving Day, the Detroit Lions will look to get back in the win column this coming Sunday when they host the Jacksonville Jaguars at Ford Field. Despite sitting at 4-7 on the season, the Lions still have a small chance of making the NFL Playoffs, but they will likely have to win at least five of their final six games in order to make that happen. On Tuesday, the Lions resumed practice, and following practice, they announced a pair of roster moves, including signing CB Jarren Williams.
Who is Detroit Lions CB Jarren Williams?
On Tuesday, the Lions announced they have released Josh Johnson from the Practice Squad and signed Williams to the Practice Squad.
Williams, who is 25, was originally signed by the Arizona Cardinals as an undrafted rookie free agent following the 2020 NFL Draft. After being waived by the Cardinals a couple of months later, he was signed by the New York Giants. He was waived by the Giants with an injury settlement in August of 2022.
